Marysville WA T-Bone Car Accident by SUV Results in 4 Fatalities
Posted on Nov 30, 2009The fatal Marysville car accident happened at the intersection of 108th Street and Highway 9. The names of the four victims have not yet been released.
The driver of the SUV fled the scene of the accident on foot. A woman near the scene of the accident found the bloody driver dazed and confused in her driveway. She convinced the driver to return to the accident, where Washington State Patrol began investigating him for vehicular homicide and drunken driving.
The families of the four victims have wrongful death claims against the SUV driver and his insurance company. The families also have claims that can be made against their loved one's car insurance policy under Underinsured Motorist coverage. In addition, the three passengers in the Hyundia have claims against any Underinsured Motorist insurance coverage on the Hyundia. Nothing can be done to bring back a loved one, and no money can make up for that loss. But steps can be taken to make sure the financial burden placed on the families by the loss of their loved one is as small as possible.
It's important for families of wrongful death victims to contact an experienced Washington wrongful death attorney as soon as possible. It's very important to make sure a full and complete accident investigation is completed; including assisting the police investigation, speaking to all eye-witnesses, documenting the accident scene with photos and diagrams, contacting all at-fault parties, contacting all insurance companies, preserving all relevant evidence, and other paperwork necessary to protect the victim's family's legal rights.
