Fatal Issaquah Motorcycle Accident Caused by Being Cut-Off l Kirkland Fatal Motorcycle Accident Attorneys

Issaquah, Washington resident Kenneth Solders died following a fatal Washington motorcycle accident on March 24, 2010.  Our prayers go out to his family.

Solders was riding his bike on Tiger Mountain Road in the early afternoon of March 24th.  A Toyota Tundra driven by an 18 year-old driver approached from the opposite direction.  As the truck came closer to Solders' motorcycle it made a left hand turn in front of his motorcycle, cutting him off. Solders did not have enough time to stop or avoid the truck and hit the rear of the truck.

The "Left Cross" is one of the most common causes of motorcycle accidents we see in our Kirkland, WA
motorcycle accident law practice.  The 18 year-old driver said he didn't see Solders' bike before making the left turn in front of the motorcycle.  We hear this in nearly every "left cross" type motorcycle accident.  The negligent driver almost always fails to see the motorcycle coming straight at them.

Unfortunately, the resulting motorcycle v. car or truck accident is horrible for the motorcycle rider.  Serious and severe injuries are nearly guaranteed.  We have clients who have suffered broken bones to legs, feet, arms, hands, spine fractures, disc injuries to the spine, internal organ injuries, and other traumatic injuries.  Too often, a rider can suffer injuries so severe he dies at the scene of the Washington motorcycle accident.

When tragedy strikes a family following a motorcycle accident, the pieces can be hard to pick up.  The shock and emotional devastation of losing a loved one can be very difficult to overcome.  The last thing many people want to deal with or think about is holding the at fault driver responsible to the damage caused.  Unfortunately the severe economic impact a family feels when a spouse or parent is unexpectedly killed by a reckless driver can make the loss a double whammy.  Families in cases like this have wrongful death claim to make.  Getting help early from experienced fatal motorcycle accident attorneys can ease the severe burden caused by a sudden loss.

Washington drivers need to pay special attention as the sun appears in springtime.  With warmer weather and sunny days Washington roads see many motorcycles hitting the road after a long winter slumber.  Riders need to expect the unexpected at all times.  Assume the car coming at you or around you doesn't see you.  Staying focused and having an escape route envisioned for any situation may just be enough to save your life and avoid that Washington motorcycle accident.

Ride Safe!
