$140,000 Jury Verdict for neck and back injury

A King County jury awarded our client $100,000 plus another $40,000 for attorney fees and costs in a case in which the insurance company had offered a settlement of just $20,000 in the days tight before the trial. The client, a 47 year-old women, was injured in a rear end car accident. 

She suffered soft tissue injuries to her neck and back muscles, which required medical treatment, physical therapy, and chiropractic care, including the need for additional medical treatment in the future.  Our client had $34,000 in past and future medical bills and $200 in lost wages.  We were able to obtain the additional $40,000 in attorney fees and costs because the defendant’s insurance company chose to appeal an arbitration award in favor of our client that took place prior to the trial.  This brought to total verdict on the case to $140,000.
